Keep one in three of the customers who click Cancel.
Churntide drops a cancel flow into your Stripe or Paddle app: it asks why, makes one honest offer — pause, discount or downgrade — and applies it for you. Failed-payment recovery and win-back are included. $29/mo flat. One line of code, live in five minutes.

Most SaaS lose 5–7% of customers every month — and never ask why
A plain "Cancel" button is the most expensive button in your app. One click, zero feedback, and a customer you spent $300 acquiring walks out for a problem you could have fixed with a 20% coupon or a 2-month pause.
Customer clicks Cancel
No friction, no questions
You never learn why

One platform
Everything you need to keep the customers you win.
Turn the cancel button into your best retention channel.
Meet every cancellation with a 10-second survey and the offer most likely to make them stay.
One honest offer
A pause, discount or downgrade matched to why they're leaving — and the cancel button stays visible on every step.
A/B built in
Run offers head-to-head and the winner takes over on its own.
One line to install
Drop it on your cancel button. No SDK, no data pipeline, no build cycle.
Before you go…
Help us understand why you're cancelling.
Keep everything you have at 30% off for the next 3 months.
Stop losing customers to payments that quietly fail.
A failed card shouldn't cost you a subscriber. Churntide chases the invoice down for you.
Adaptive Retries
We re-charge the card on a decline-aware schedule — soft declines like insufficient funds clear with zero customer action.
Smart dunning
When a retry can't fix it, a timed email sequence and a subtle in-app 'update your card' nudge take over.
Auto-apply
The moment it's fixed, the subscription keeps running on Stripe or Paddle.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Churnkey is excellent. It starts at $250/mo billed yearly, only its entry plan is public, and the bigger plans are quote-only. It is built for teams that already have a retention person.
Churntide is built for SaaS under about $10k MRR: flat $29–$199, self-serve, and the whole stack — cancel flow, failed-payment recovery and win-back — on every plan. A/B testing of offers starts at $79. Billing access is opt-in: connect a restricted Stripe or Paddle key and Churntide applies the accepted offer for you, or just take the webhook and apply it yourself.
Partly. The portal lets you attach one retention coupon and shows a fixed list of eight cancel reasons. There is no pause option, no targeting by reason, plan or MRR, no A/B tests, and its failed-payment emails are generic.
Churntide sits on top of Stripe. It asks why in your own words, picks the offer that fits that reason and that customer, and applies the pause, discount, downgrade or cancellation to the subscription for you.
It can be, so Churntide has rules. One offer, never a chain of them. The cancel option is visible on every step. Cancellation completes on the same screen — no "email us to cancel". Every session is logged and you can export it.
Those rules line up with California's automatic-renewal law (AB 2863), ROSCA enforcement in the US and the UK's DMCC subscription rules. Flows that trap people convert once and churn twice; fair ones bring customers back.
Yes. Churntide is billing-agnostic by design. When a customer accepts an offer or confirms a cancel, you get a callback in the browser (
onSaved/onCanceled) and a webhook on your server. You then apply the coupon, pause, downgrade or cancellation in whatever system you use — or connect a restricted Stripe or Paddle key and Churntide does it for you.About 5 minutes. Create a flow (it comes pre-loaded with the 7 most common cancel reasons and 3 starter offers) and paste one script tag — it finds your cancel button by itself. No JavaScript to write; there's also a hosted link if you'd rather not touch your app at all.
Nothing your customers will notice. A session is one customer opening a flow once, whatever the outcome. We never block a save: if you go over, the flow keeps serving and we email you once a month with an upgrade link.
Yes, on every plan. Forward your Stripe webhook events to Churntide (or call the API when an invoice fails). Connect a restricted Stripe key and Churntide runs Adaptive Retries first — re-charging the card on a decline-aware schedule, so soft declines like insufficient funds clear with no customer action at all. When a retry can't fix it, a branded dunning sequence and a tracked "update card" link take over. You see open, recovered and lost revenue on the Recovery page.
Yes. If Churntide hasn't saved or recovered at least one customer in your first 60 days, that period is free — email us and we refund it.
We only quote figures with a source and a sample size. The 34% average save rate is across 3M+ cancel sessions (Churnkey, State of Retention 2025). About 22% of SaaS churn is involuntary, rising to 35% for products under $10/mo (Churnkey/Stripe 2024 data across 200M subscriptions).
Our own aggregate numbers — customers, sessions, saves and MRR — are published live at /open.
We store only what you send us (identifiers, plan, survey answers) and use it solely to run your flows and emails — never sold, never used for ads. Billing keys are AES-256 encrypted at rest. You can export or delete everything at any time. Details in our privacy policy.

Your next cancellation is probably happening today.
Install Churntide before it does. Five minutes, no credit card, and if it hasn't saved or recovered a customer in 60 days you don't pay for them.
